Mickel Holds on to Championship Lead at Croft
John Mickel and the crew travelled to Croft near Darlington last weekend for their furthest destination on the 2015 UK Legends Championship schedule.
It soon became a weekend of gremlins for the Horsham based driver but he still managed to hold on and even extended his Championship lead.
Saturday 25th April – Round 4
Race 1
A dry race saw John finish in 2nd place from the middle of the grid.

Race 2
With a wet race and without a perfect set up, John struggled to find grip in the K-Seal #4 Legend. He had managed to forge is way through a busy field to 6th pace but when the caution flag came out, John lost places and continued to struggle with the car in the wet conditions.

Race 3 – Final
With the track still wet and with a new set up, John drove the K-Seal #4 Legend like it was on rails through to the front of the pack and took a 3rd place finish.

His points put him fifth place overall on the day but only giving up 5 points on his Championship lead to Ben Power who is in second place.
Sunday 26th April - Round 5
Race 1
All awoke to glorious sunshine on Sunday morning. John took the lead within the first lap and then played the game of defending off his rivals, He maintained his lead to take the win.

Race 2
The K-Seal #4 Legend was on fine form once again and stormed through to catch the leader but could not find a way past Paterson and so had to settle for 2nd.

Race 3 – Final
With just one lap completed in the final, John had to retire with an electrical problem which meant he collected no points in the final. It seems that luck was to follow as the top championship contenders all suffered similar fortunes.
