Mickel & Marshall Forge Racing Alliance for 2025

Scotland based Ross Marshall and Crawley based John Mickel forge an alliance for the upcoming 2025 UK National Legends Season set to perform on major race circuits across the UK with Marshall committing to the full 2025 season under the Mickel Motorsport umbrella.

Mickel Motorsport is a highly successful team within the UK National Legends Championship consisting of 5/8 scale 1930’s Fords, Chevys and Dodges creating spectacular wheel to wheel big grid racing. Equal performance and reversed grids guarantee nose to tail hard fought racing allowing drivers’ talent to shine through.

Ross Marshall, Director of his very successful family business established in 1966, Beatson’s Building Supplies, started racing at the age of 16 and both Marshall and Mickel have run side by side in previous years on track. Marshall has had many seasons crossed between Circuit Racing, Single Venue & Closed Road Rallying.

Since 2019 Marshall has only had one competitive year racing in the MINI JCW Challenge in 2022 and now he relishes the opportunity to return to the much-loved Legends Championship once again running in the livery of his family business, Beatson’s Building Supplies. The catchy business strap line is “Think Choices, think prices, think Beatson’s!”

Excitingly, it was recently announced that the Legends Championship will be support to the BTCC and British GT package as part of a thrilling 2025 calendar.

John Mickel, MD of Mickel Motorsport said “I was delighted when Ross contacted me to start discussion about his 2025 season. He is a great experienced driver and will be an asset to our team of drivers in 2025 with an exciting season planned with appearances on the BTCC and British GT packages.”

Ross Marshall Director of Beatson’s Building Supplies said “I’m looking forward to coming back to UK National legends as I have un-finished business!! Having won the National Rookie Championship in 08’ and Double Scottish Legends Championship in 09’ & 11’ I want to add the UK National legend Championship title to that haul! To achieve this, I need to surround myself with a successful and experienced team, so I’ve chosen Mickel Motorsport as the front running team for 25 years, so that I can lean on their expertise. I look forward to the 2025 season being back in a Legend car!”
