Motorsport runs in his blood. Paul first stood trackside aged 8 and within 20 years was appointed as Motorsports commentator working at all of the UK circuits. Paul was also the inaugural series commentator for Legends, so it was no surprise that having ‘talked the talk’ he should transition from the commentary box to the inside of the race car! After several outings in the series media car, Paul was delighted to be asked to race a Mickel Motorsport run car for the first time in 2000, claiming his first Legends victory at Mallory Park.
Ten years later in 2010, Paul competed in the CPC Legends in the number 14 car and under the Mickel Motorsport banner, finishing a highly credible 10th in his first full championship year.
Now, 12 years later, Paul returns, encouraged and supported by his wife Mandy and children Charlotte, Harri and Harley. Paul is thrilled and excited that son Harri will enter the racing fray in the latter part of the 2023 season.
