With the air temperature high all weekend, as the humidity increased so did the clashes on track.

John Mickel showed strong promise in qualifying in his #4 K-Seal car supported by MVIS, PVL, Cataclean and Lucas Oil. His strongest opponent this weekend was John Patterson driving as a guest in the twin K-Seal #3 car entered into the Team Car Championship by Mickel Motorsport. Wherever John was, Patterson was there too and vice verse. John took one race win and finished 2nd twice on Saturday, with Patterson taking two wins and a 3rd. 

On Sunday Patterson took two further wins with John finishing 2nd and then 5th under a controversial red flag. Neither completed the final race of the weekend after a coming together in the final bend which involved some delicate pirouettes and some raised temperatures. 

John lifted second place overall on Saturday and with one DNF of Sunday, there was no podium position for John, however the K-Seal #4 orange machine has now extended the Championship lead to nearly 900 points. The twin K-Seal #3 Legend is winning the Team Car championship.

Paul Simmons in his #51 black and lean Baileigh machine has taken over the much desired 2nd place in the Championship despite a very large accident. With a 7th place finish in race one, Paul entered race two with his sights set on a top three spot at the chequered flag. Paul started on the front row, with a battle for the lead laps, Paul found himself inside a gaggle of cars but continued to battle hard. Patterson pushed the limits while bump drafting Paul and overcooked a manoeuvre, putting Paul straight into the wall at 120 miles per hour. 

The Mickel Motorsport crew were truly heroic in rebuilding and restoring the Baileigh machine back to full health which enabled Paul to take a well deserved 2nd place in the final race of the day. This hard work resulted in Mickel Motorsport being awarded the "Team of the Day" trophy.

Sunday saw Paul finish in a 6th, 8th and 4th place which gave him enough points to lift 3rd place overall on the day and this was enough to secure his promotion into 2nd place in the overall Championship standings.

It was a great sight in the Final on Saturday to see Mickel Motorsport cross the finish line in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. 

Rickie Leggett had a stable weekend in his #26 Margrasil Legends car, finishing middle of the pack consistently despite having to change engines following qualifying on Sunday morning.
