John Mickel is back in the lead of the Legends Cars National Championship following a very successful weekend at Croft in North Yorkshire at the beginning of July after taking four wins from six races over the duration of the weekend performed at a blistering pace giving him the fastest lap in five of the races.

Saturday 1st July 2017

John Mickel and K-Seal lifted first place podium following Saturday’s racing with Paul Simmons and Baileigh Industrial Ltd lifting the Master of the day trophy. Mike Schlup has experienced his first on track rollercoaster experience in a Legend after rolling his blue K-Seal car in race two. The Team’s valiant efforts to repair his car and get it back on track for race three saw them awarded with a trophy for the Team of the Day.

Sunday 2nd July 2017

Even with trips to Race Control on Sunday and time penalties being forced upon Mickel for contact, spirits remained high and success continued. The final of the day finished dramatically with a change of lead within the top four cars on tack but saw John take the win with Paul Simmons in fourth. Mickel takes overall win on the day.

The second half of the season kicks off at Donington this weekend and it all starts with John Mickel in his orange K-Seal #4 Legend leading the Championship with Paul Simmons in his black Baileigh Industrial Ltd #51 machine in fifth place and Mike Schlup in his blue K-Seal #3 Legend in ninth place.

All three Mickel Motorsport team mates within the top ten Championship slots makes for a very positive vibe amongst the crew!
